OUR MISSION & VISION

Our mission is to break the stigma surrounding mental illness and normalize talking about mental health- especially among young males- through awareness, education, and supporting suicide prevention efforts.

We are committed to educating youth about the signs and symptoms of mental health challenges and to providing access to vital resources for those who are struggling. Through partnerships with organizations engaged in mental health education and community outreach, we aim to amplify our impact and extend support where it’s needed most.

Our vision is to build a world where mental health is treated with importance, open conversations are encouraged, compassion is the standard, and no family has to endure the loss of a loved one to mental illness.

ABOUT US

Our organization was created in loving memory of Michael Hurley, who lost his battle with depression on July 6, 2024. Through this foundation, we are committed to honoring his legacy by promoting open conversations about mental health—especially among young men—and preventing other families from experiencing such heartbreaking loss.

While many important foundations already exist, we aim to amplify their efforts by increasing public awareness, supporting mental health education and research, and contributing to these organizations so they can expand their reach and impact more lives.

In the United States alone, an estimated 58 million people experience some form of mental illness each year. Among them, 1 in 8 MEN report symptoms of mental health challenges—yet only 43% of those affected receive any form of care. Tragically, over 40,000 Americans die by suicide annually.

We believe that by normalizing mental health discussions, encouraging education, and supporting existing organizations, we can foster a culture of compassion, understanding, and healing.
